Information on the obligation to take back packaging materials
According to the provisions of the currently applicable German Packaging Act (§ 15 para. 1 sentence 1 VerpackG), we are obliged to take back certain types of packaging from end consumers free of charge. This applies in particular to:
-
Transport packaging such as pallets or other large-volume packaging,
-
Sales and secondary packaging that, after use, does not typically arise as waste in private households,
-
Sales and secondary packaging that cannot participate in a dual system due to a lack of system compatibility in accordance with § 7 para. 5,
-
Sales packaging that has contained hazardous substances, as well as reusable packaging.
As an end consumer, you have the option to return the above-mentioned packaging materials at the place where the goods were actually handed over or in its immediate vicinity.
The packaging used for shipping the goods will, of course, be taken back by us free of charge and properly recycled. By informing you about existing return options, we aim to achieve a higher return rate and at the same time contribute to the implementation of European recycling targets in accordance with EU Directive 94/62/EC.
